I am very much a novice when it comes to GPS. This is my first unit and I find the base map to be pretty basic compaired to maps I have seen on friends units.

Does anyone here have any experience with this unit? Any maps here compatable with this unit?

I am interested in the Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania regions.

Maps here are for Garmin GPSrs. Each company uses their own proprietary format for their products. You are likely to get better results if you do a search for the unit/manufacture and/or ask on the forums.groundspeak.com

Try http://www.tritonforum.com/. There are a lot of helpful people there, and you will also find links to free maps for Magellan. As maps4gps has said, the maps here at GPSFileDepot only work on Garmin units.
