Title: NC Data
Post by: rickvr on December 13, 2009, 08:14:36 PM
I found this data at a NCGIS site, appears to be pre-made contour and elevation data for entire state.
If someone in the group with more experience than me would take a look at it might be useful.

The NC 10/5' contour overlay mapset (http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/232/) used the 3m LIDAR data from USGS's seamless server.  NCGIS has some contoured in 4 and even 2 foot intervals - these files can be large for even a single county.

The county I downloaded was 32 meg. I don't have anything to compare that to as far as creating contours. Thanks for the information.
