First time viewer, first post....
I have a Garmin nuvi, model 260w. I downloaded nytopo maps in .img format and transferred them to my nuvi (They made themselves a NYTOPO folder). So far, so good.
Problem is that I can't figure out how to get the nuvi to utilize the topo maps.
Help....

They install on a nüvi like any other mapset, You need MapSource for Windows or RoadTrip for Macintosh. To get MapSource, follow the two steps in this tutorial:

If you have a Macintosh, get RoadTrip here:
