Someone told me that this site would be a good place to acquire maps (for my Garmin edge) that I can use while biking on trails. I've not found them yet and was hoping that one of the members of this wold know how I could access them.

How about this? It is not a regular map, it's an overlay that only includes trails and POI. You install it on your GPS and enable along with another map of your area.
