Title: GPS in mail, maps on computer?
Post by: tarantulakeeper on June 19, 2009, 11:59:58 AM
Good morning. New to the site, new to GPS, glad I'm here.
I'm a macBook user, operating 10.5.7
I've ordered a Garmin vista HCx which will be here Monday.
I've downloaded Garmin's MapInstall and MapManager for Mac.
I've downloeaded the AZ topo.

When I launch MapInstall, it wants my GPS info which I don't have yet. Can I view the Arizona maps on my computer without the GPS attached?

In Mapmanager, when I Open recent> it has me install the AZ maps. I did this. I still can't view the maps.

That's for helping another new guy.  John
