Title: Finding Map on Nuvi 200
Post by: gdwooden on June 11, 2009, 12:46:10 PM
I down loaded a topo map on my Nuvi 200 but can not get to it. I know it is there because it lists under my system map info along with my City Navigator map.
thanks--guy

Couple of things, have you tried to disabled the City Nav Maps? They might be covering them.
Also, you may have to zoom in to the map a bit depending on the zoom levels set on the mapset.

What TOPO map is it in any case?

Make sure that you uncheck the City Navigator map so you can see the topo map.

This is in regard to my original message
I have done all the above about unchecking the main City Navigator map. The topo map is listed and checked in the map info on the nuvi.
But I get the message on my Nuvi SD card:
----------------------------------------------------
The following disk images failed to mount
gmapsupp.img         no mountable file systems
------------------------------------------------------

That is interesting; if you connect to a computer can you see a gmapsupp.img

Did you use mapsource to put the map onto the nuvi?

Just a WAG - are you using a high density (4GB) microSD?  I could load maps onto the HD card, could see them when the unit was connected to the computer in Explorer, but my 205 couldn't read the data with the Garmin operating system.
