Title: Help BaseCamp not recognizing maps

Just picked up a new Oregon 600. I downloaded BaseCamp from Garmin's site into my 64 bit Windows 7 PC. I then downloaded My Trails as instructed since since I'm running a 64 bit system. I can see the My Trails maps on my PC but BaseCamp doesn't recognize them. When I try and import the files BaseCamp doesn't list .img files as a supported extension....could that be the problem? Please Help!

BaseCamp only checks for available mapsets when it is started.  Did you install the mapset with BaseCamp running/open?

No and I've shut it down, reopened it. Heck, I even rebooted my PC.

I even fired up the old Windows XP desktop and I'm experiencing the same problems.

Like you, he didn't install the mapset, he tried in import the .exe file. That's why we posted tutorials on installing maps
