I have the newest versions of Base Camp and Map Source on my Win 7 PC.
I downloaded a Texas Topo map and installed it. It installed in a folder called txtopo11. Base Camp cannot see this folder or the files inside it. Nothing in any of the tutorials says if this folder needs to be in a certain folder or how to get Base Camp (or Map Source) to see it.
As one tutorial suggested, I tried using MapSetToolKit to install it. I entered all the data, and it says "Completed". But Base Camp and Map Source still do not find the map.
Is there some special location I should place the txtopo11 folder so that Base Camp can find it? Or am I doing something else wrong?
For a 64-bit Windows system the two lines above the download 'button' mention: 'There is an issue with the 64-bit installer used in the PC version of this mapset. If this is the first mapset you are installing on a Windows 7 64 bit PC, you will need to FIRST install a mapset which used a 32-bit installer, 'My trails ....' http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/53 works and is small in size.'
Thanks so much. Yes, that was exactly the problem. It works great now!!! ;D
