Title: can't load us west topo

just bought a g60csx of a local guy and i can't get the copy of us west 24k topo to load on my comp
i have tried his copy and the one off the site and i get this
"error reading from file d:\topo u.s. 24kwest v2.gmap\product\"product numbers"
verify file exist and you can acces it
do i need his password
do i have to buy this from garmin??

You'll probably need to contact the seller to resolve this problem I'm afraid. But exactly what are you trying to do? To "load a topo" on your computer, you will need the original installation DVD. You can't just copy the file from the SD card to your computer.

i figured i might be a little off course with the question.
i did load basecamp and mapsource and then tried to get the one of the california maps off the  site and am still having probs
