See the tutorial: http://gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-install-mapsource-if-it-didnt-come-with-your-gps/

Essentially you download (free from Garmin) and install BaseCamp (it includes a valid Garmin map product); then download MapSource (also free from Garmin).

Also see the other tutorials on selecting map quads/segments and sending to a GPSr.

Start by downloading Basecamp, it's free: http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=4435

Mapsource has been discontinued, and there probably isn't much reason to use if you aren't already familiar with it. However, if you want it you can download here. However, YOU MUST INSTALL BASECAMP FIRST, then download Mapsource. Otherwise Mapsource won't install. http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209

Now just choose the map(s) that you want here and download/install them: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/

These tutorials should get you up to speed on using them:

If you can't find any maps that you like here, you can purchase one of Garmin's products: http://www.garmin.com/us/maps/topo
