When Downloading Garmin basemap where should it be loaded to. Mapsource, documents, Etc?

I would say anywhere you can easily get to it.
Once downloaded, you will run the file and it will install the programs, etc. in a folder and create a desktop icon.  You can then delete the file you downloaded from Garmin.

You can download it anywhere and then just run the file and it will install itself.
