I downloaded the mac version of the AZ topo map and I tried installing on a micro sd card. Mapinstall opened and recognized the sd card but in the top left section of the dialogue box, the map does not appear. Other map appear that I purchased from Garmin but not this one! The downloaded map file reads ArizonaTopo_2-1.11.tar (203 MB) I double clicked to unarchive the file and that didn't work either. I am a new user and lost on this one!

You should have to open that archive and then load/install the .gmapi file.
