Newbie to both the forum and downloading map programs. I just ordered a eTrex Vista HXC and would like to get topo maps of at least WY and MO so I downloaded Midwest USA Topo. It says its free yet it will only show up on one area of WY. Then it asks for an unlockkey to open other areas. What's up? Also what is the best Topo maps for hunting that are free?

Are you sure its asking you to unlock that map and not a Garmin map?

Are you using a Mac? We have seen some other posts about bogus unlock messages on the Mac.

Do you have any maps that were made by Garmin installed on your computer? Do you own any other Garmin GPSrs?
