I have a new oregon 550. Can I input a list of coordinates that I will use later on the lake? If so how? I don't have the lake maps yet. Is this why I can't figure out how to do it?

Use the menu button to mark a waypoint and choose the option to edit. On that screen you can change the coordinates to anything you like. Sorry, don't have my Oregon here to tell you the exact menu item names, but this is how it's done. You don't need to install any maps to do this.

Thanks that worked. There is a button to change comments. I entered comments but I can't see them anywhere. Do you know where I can view the comments?

press on the waypoint (or find it with find). When the box appears at the top of the screen with the waypoint name, push it
