I have never heard of that GPS unit either but I'd start by looking at these two tutorials and then just downloading the maps you want to use:
Getting MapSource (http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-install-mapsource-if-it-didnt-come-with-your-gps/)
How To Load Maps onto the GPS (http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-load-maps-on-my-garmin-gps-unit/)

Did a quick search. Evidently the DC 30 is a dog collar that works with the Astro GPS. So really I think you need help with the Astro, not the collar.

Look at the tutorials that Oz posted above. Use the search box to find maps for the areas you want (if available): http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/

Read the instructions for the maps you choose and download the files. Many of them include installers that do most of the work for you.
