I bought a GPSMAP 60CSX yesterday. Do I choose a Satellite? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Heh, no need to choose a satellite. The GPS will do that all by itself. If you are not getting a signal, put the GPS outside where it has a clear view of the sky and let it sit for about an hour. This will allow it to download data that helps it look for the right satellites.
