Title: USGS server down?
Post by: savage on August 14, 2008, 03:30:27 AM
It looks like the USGS server is down. I have been trying to download the elevation data for Maine, but now it returns an error for each URL I send. It worked OK a couple of days ago.

It actually goes down frequently.

I actually just downloaded one of the quads for Maine so it appears to be back operational now.

It is working but really slow. I only got 1 download so far (4 zip files). All my attempts result in 2 or 3 zip files and waiting for ever for the last one(s).

if you're going to use the program I sent you make you you're using the GeoTiff link not ArcGrid, should only have 1 part per quad.

Yes I saw that but had already started the download of the Arcgrid files. I am using your program for the rest and will be using the tiff for the next state.
