Title: Re: Garmin GPSMap60Csx SD card question
Post by: stevewel35 on August 18, 2009, 09:42:10 PM
I loaded City Navigator from CD/DVD selecting only Washington and Oregon and uploaded from Mapsource.  Then I removed the 2 gb SD card and inserted the TOPO 24K SD Card. When I turn on the system it shows 24 TOPO map being used, but, I can scroll from city streets (which now show contour lines) to national park trails.

I am not sure how this is happening. Is the City Navigator portion located within the units main memory, while trails are on the SD card?  How do the contour lines overlay on the city streets?  Does the TOPO SC Card include city street data?  I had previously thought that you could look at City streets OR trails, but, not both at the same time.

When I try to download to Mapsource it says TOPO 24K does not exist.

Can I add other trails for other parts of the country from a TOPO CD/DVD and still have the best of both worlds?

TOPO 24K also contains the routeable street data used with City Navigator.
