The National Geographic maps are not compatible with any Garmin units. The Garmin 24 maps have roads that can be used to calculate routes and POI database that is similar to Garmin's City Navigator maps.

The Colorado supports Garmin's custom map format, and this could be used to make your own maps from Google. See: http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/onthetrail/custommaps

However, the size of the maps that you can make is limited. If you want satellite imagery, a Garmin BirdsEye subscription is generally the best choice.
