I successfully installed Arizona Topo on a GPSmap 62s and can view it in BaseCamp and download it to the device. When I place route start and end waypoints on the map, route creation will only be point-to-point and will not use roads and trails. If I create a route using the draw tool to follow a trail, it does not have any elevation data.
How do I get BaseCamp to recognize roads and trails for creating routes?
You can't. Not with that map anyway. Maps have to be built in a special way to support routing, and this involves a lot more work. There are almost no maps on this site that support routing, but you can find them by going here and checking the "routable" box under "search by map features".
