So I have tried downloading topo maps to my Garmin 60CSx with no luck. I have read and followed the tutorals several times with no luck. It keeps saying the maps are locked and couldn't access. All the maps are loaded on my computer in mapsource and work fine on there. I even tried using Garmin mapinstall that came with it and still no luck. Any ideas??? Thanks for your help.

GPSr Units / 2009 F-150 with Garmin built in GPS unit

My dad has a new 09 F-150 with the built in Garmin GPS unit that gets updates from a CD. I was wanting to download the topo maps to it for him when I see him in a couple weeks. Is it as simple as burning the topo map of Oregon to a cd and then install it??? Does it have a SD card spot?? He isn't very computer savy to say the least. He can just now check his email:)  Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would love to help him out.

Since this is the same model I have I have another question for you smart people. I downloaded the topo maps for basically the western half of the US to my computer and then to a 4g SD card that was incerted that into my gps. On the computer the maps show everything but when it comes to the gps it does show alot more of the back roads which is the main thing I was wanting but it doesn't show the topo lines.  As the map is loading when it is zoomed in you can see the lines briefly and then the disappear. I figure another map is overlaying it or something. Is there a way on this model to override which map takes precidence???

Thanks for all the hard work you all have put into these maps. This is a great site!!!!!
