My etrex vista hcx is not automatically marking caches found when I reach them. Is there a setting or something obvious I am missing here? I am new to both gps devices and caching. Thanks

The Vista HCx doesn't automatically mark geocaches as found when you reach the posted location. How would it know if you found that micro or not? You navigate to a geocache:
1. Main Menu
2. Find
3. Geocache
4. Select the geocache
5. A special compass window with buttons at the bottom to mark "as found"
6. Once you find the geocach, select the Mark Found button
