Title: California Topo contours don't show on my 60Cx
Post by: bluetands on August 09, 2009, 06:17:17 PM
Subject says it all. I've tried loading only CA Topo (Bay Area, Santa Cruz, and Monterey segments), turning base map on/off, etc. Began testing with SW 4.0, then 3.9, then 3.7. Tried with zoom level from 20 ft to several miles. No contours ever.

The contours show up beautifully in Mapsource (I'm using 6.13.7).

Is there some trick to downloading or showing transparent maps that I'm missing?

Thanks

In MapSource, you need to marquee a section to select map segments. In your map list you should have 100K quads and numbered contours. Just clicking on the tiles generally gets you to 100K quads without the contours.

That mapset was made before the techniques detailed in the tutorials. Glad it's working for you, enjoy.
