GPSr Units / Montana 600t Where To
March 06, 2016, 11:15:05 AM
I don't have city nav on my 600t.  When off Hwy on FS rds and want to head back to waypoint marked camp I choose.. Where to....Waypoint...(select it) and it says no route avail.  I know a way is available to access just don't know how.

Downloaded the recommended colorado trails map but it doesn't cover a lot of the state and doesn't have a LOT of forest/blm roads and few trails (ATV/JEEP)  Has anyone found a good topo/trails map?  The 100K "t" map has more trails listed.  Do I need to buy the 24K Colorado topo?

Thanks to all.  I put a 4g SD on my oregon.  I am used to having to delete tracks from my handheld so didn't think of all the storage installed.
Do you designate where the tracks are stored? internal or SD? Or is it automatic.
Can tracks be grouped into folders so areas can be found quicker?
Thanks

Using The Maps/Garmin Software / Flash drive
October 13, 2011, 06:25:09 PM
Would it be possible to download basecamp onto a USB flash drive.  To store all my maps and tracks for portability between my desk top and lap top.  If possible any idea how many gigs I might need?  6 states maybe.  Or how much storage  does an averqage state take and 50 miles of track?
Thanks

Using The Maps/Garmin Software / Re: basecamp

Thanks Boyd,
;Probably 5-6 states only.  I am just starting to learn what and how to work with Basecamp.  New and ignorant.  Not real computer literate.  As it is now, I think I have to downoad my tracks to each bqasecamp.  Any mods must be repeated each computer.  The idea is when I am traveling I could download tracks to Oregon if I happened to be in a unexpected area.  Probably silly thought.
Thanks, Rob
