Nah, its the HCx

I just ordered a 2gig.

Im new to this, but i have been learning ALOT in just a few days. Thanks for everything guys.

OK, Im about to download some maps and use them.

One quick question. Will my Garmin Legend HCx... be able to give me directions and what not on the maps that have roads?

Like turn by turn, road by road directions? OR will it just show me where I am on the map?

Either is great, still an awesome tool. Just curious though..

I am going to get the HCx I believe. Seems like a good idea.

Can most of the homemade maps on here use the advanced features such a routes and what not? Can I put routes into them?

Or do they just show me where I am on the map?

I have read that you can only put one map on a memory card. Is this true?

So I can't put say, 2 700mb maps on one 2gb card and use it in the etrex hcx legend?

I'm getting a 64mb Etrex Legend.

I notice alot of the maps are like 1gig on here.

How does that work?

Im sorry im clueless.... will I be able to get these on my 64megs?

do they get smaller once downloaded?  do you just chose smaller sections to upload?

about how much of the maps will I be able to use with my 64 megs???

I am about to purchase one of these new (refurbished), on ebay.

Comes with everything what I can tell.

I don't know much about gps tho.

120 seems like a good deal.

Will I be able to get the software I need (cheaply), since its out of production?

Are these good recievers? is it worth it?

There are 3 points in the Middle of Jedediah Smith Park I want to get to. Its in the Northern area of the Redwood National Park. I have a Garmin eTrex Legend CX . How would I go about doing this. I am clueless. I have no maps other than the basemap as of yet.

What do I need?
