I put a mt. topo map on my computer and it came up on basecamp and then I put another map from gps file depot and it is not on basecamp how do I retrieve it and put it on basecamp.

I think we will need a lot more information to be able to help. What map? How did you install it? What kind of computer and what operating system?
For starters, you could download this free program. It will list all the maps that are installed on your computer and may be able to fix any problems. http://www.javawa.nl/gmtk_en.html
Also,it seems like some folks don't realize that you have to double click on the downloaded file to get it to install itself. It won't install until you install it
