Title: Can a 62sc be used as a golf gps
Post by: Dice770 on March 29, 2014, 05:01:36 AM
Just posing a question for thought and some response. Is there a way of using the 62sc as a golf gps like one I would buy that is only for golf?? I have a good app on my phone for golf called swing by swing and that's free. I just bought m y 62sc and as I'm learning it the thought came to mind if I could do this.
Thanks

With the exception of the Android-based Monterra, you cannot install "apps" on any Garmin GPS. Basically, "it is what it is". You could create waypoints and you might be able to find maps of some golf courses if you do a google search. But it won't have the features of a dedicated golf device.
