Using The Maps/Garmin Software / mapsource not recognizing maps

I got a new computer with windows 7.
I installed Mapsource.
Now when I down load and execute a map from GPSFileDepot mapsource does not recognize them.
Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong?
