I have Windows 7 and after downloading MapSource then Florida topo I follow you steps on how to upload to my Garmin Dakoto 20 when I open the MapSource theres no drop down menu in the upper left corner the zoom mag glass is there only. How do I find the map? Confused...
Try downloading this:

Make sure MS is closed when you install it. Note that this only shows detail at zooms closer than 7 miles.
I should of said I tried that also from one of the threads here I also tried MapBasic and when I right click on Dakoto 20 there isn't any "install Maps"

What's MapBasic?
I think he means "Basecamp". ;)
Yes Basecamp :banginghead:
Ok I finally can find My Trails but when I search my computer it doesn't reconize Florida Topo Map but if I look up uninstall I see it. Man I'm confused as all get out plus I'm not totally comp illiterate....
Can you see My Trails in MapSource/BaseCamp?
If so, uninstall FL topo and re-install it, with all map viewers closed.
If not read the tutorials.

in mapsource/basecamp, go to view and make sure BASIC map only isn't checked.
Finally figured it out, after hours of messing with it, stepping away from the computer and beer :o plus your alls help this morning I removed everything and started from square one and found the map under Map Product
Thanks
Russ
Glad you could get it working.
Glad its working because that map should have just worked out of the box; it shouldn't have needed My Trails.
