Title: Are SD Cards still available for Garmin GPSMap 60CSX
Post by: captbum on January 24, 2017, 08:05:40 AM
I'm new to this forum, and was trying to find out if there are SD cards still available for the Garmin GPSMap 60CSx. I've had this unit for a long time, and love it. I will be taking a trip to western Canada this summer, and would love to keep using it Thanks for any info!

I think it will support cards up to 16gb but not 100% certain. Some older devices did not recognize SDHC cards, but I think that was fixed with a firmware update long ago. If you have any problems, make sure your unit has the newest firmware.

I can't imagine you would ever need more than 4 gb on the old 60csx though. It has a limit of about 2000 map segments (the smaller tiles that make up the map). You would likely pass this limit before you even fill a 2gb card.
