I appreciated the help getting the files loaded, but now I have a new problem...
The GPS will not power up on battery power. It works fine while connected by a USB. I have tried regular batteries, rechargeables, and Lithium with nothing. It acts like it is dead. Any ideas?
Unless something obvious is wrong with the battery contacts, I think you will need to contact Garmin and probably return your unit for repair. Some models of the Oregon have had problems with battery contacts breaking, but I'd think you would notice that.
Thanks. I returned it and got another. No problems now, except for loading maps through a MAC. But thats another story.
