Title: Photo Geotags with Nuvi series
Post by: BKSLDR7 on May 21, 2009, 11:36:21 AM
Can a Nuvi series (350 or 855) be used to geotag photos?  I know that one can save a location as a coordinate with a Nuvi but I don't think that it has a tracklog function as such.

I'm not sure about  the 855; I know the 2x5 series can so maybe the 855 can.

I know the 350 cannot since it doesn't track.

The answer is:
The 350 does not have a tracklog function but if you manually saved
a location when you took a picture and your camera time and 350
time were synched then you could do it.

The 855 has a tracklog function so picture geotagging would be straight
forward.

OZ,
I am running MAC OS10.4.11 and have not been able to get GPISYNC
to install.  Apparently, others have had similar problems and I don't see
any recent traffic about a fix.  It was tested by the author on MAC Leopard
but not Tiger.  It's a shame because it looks like a fantastic tool.
