Title: Alabama on the slate?
Post by: woodstramp on March 08, 2009, 12:39:33 PM
I noticed you have added several more states since my last visit.  I thought I could do this map making but just reading the tutorials make my head spin.

Are there any members working on Alabama?

Loaded up the new Tennessee topo (and even figured out how to see it on the Nuvi).  That is amazing with the detail. A ton better than the Magellan topo I'm used to. I like the little points that you cursor to and more detail pops up.

John M,

I looked on this map list page http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/ and I didn't see "southeastern US" in the right hand topo column.  Is there another map page here with topos for Alabama?

John M,

Thank you very kindly!  Shoot, one large topo of God's country.     Loadin' that booger right now.  Can't wait to see what it looks like on the Nuvi.

Noticed you're listed as the composer.  Another thanks.

John M,

Loaded it on the puter and the Nuvi.......it is even better than I thought!  It even has my road drawn correctly.   The other street software has my road out of place.

One last Thanks.

Well, looks like I started this thread to early.

Checked back today and most of the southern states are in the right column.

BTW,  Been playing with that SE topo for several days and it it super.
