looking to buy a GPS

I am looking to buy a hand held GPS. I would like to use it mostly for marking fishing spots while ice fishing, and also to find ponds off of the road to fish, and marking hunting spots. I have never used a hand held GPS before. I have been looking at a Garmin etrex 20x and thought that looks like a decent fit for what i need. Although I have never used one so I am not sure. I am looking for one around the $200 range but can go up a bit, if value is better. As a rookie I will take any advice I can get, any suggestions? Will the etrex20x be a good fit or would another GPS be better?

Screen size is a big issue for me, of course the larger the more $$.
