The previous GPSs by Garmin, going back to the 660 Nuvi & the 1390, had blue dots representing the path of previous travel. Is there a setting or a program to download to the new system, Nuvi 2460, that would enable that sort of track?

Try menu: Tools -> Settings -> Navigation -> Automobile -> Trip Log -> Show on Map

I believe that some of the more recent nuvis require that you zoom WAY in to see the track log - perhaps 500 feet.

Thanks, we will be using the 1390, for our trip this time. The 2460 is in the other vehicle. I will try & fiddle in the manner you all have suggested.

It would be a shame, if they did away with that function. Even though I did have people using the 660, we gave to them, they didn't follow those tracks, that would have saved them over 20 miles in travel; oh well.

All recent Nuvi's have the tracklog feature. But they have limited the usefulness by only showing it at close zoom levels. The Nuvi 6xx (a 7 or 8 year old series) does not have a tracklog however.
