Img files wont load on mapsource

I just downloaded mapsource and gps mapper and mapsettoolkit from gpsfiledepot. I am trying to put the ohio topo map on mapsource. I have run the installer and the maps cannot be found in mapsource . I have used mapsettoolkit(latest version) and selected all img subfiles. I mapped the .typ and .tdb and checked install in mapsource. the conversion ran. It created a reg. entry . It said convert completed. I then get a window saying [ cant send to mapsource ] . I have also tried part 3 of the kentucky topo maps with the same result. Mapsource DOES recognize my garmin legend because I sent storedwaypoints into mapsource. I am on windows 7 home premium 64 bit processor.
What should i try next ?

Someone with a lot more knowledge than I have may have a better answer for you, but I understood that Garmin is now using Basecamp instead of Mapsource. I am currently using Basecamp with my Etrex 20 and .

What map are you trying to install?  Please post a link.  Did you read http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-open-maps-in-mapsource/ ? Most maps you download from this site come with installers.  MapSetToolKit is not normally required.  What version of MapSource are you using.?  How much memory does your Garmin Legend have?

Any reason why you did not follow this: 'There is an issue with the 64-bit installer used in the PC version of this mapset. If this is the first mapset you are installing on a Windows 7 64 bit PC, you will need to FIRST install a mapset which used a 32-bit installer, 'My trails ....' http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/53 works and is small in size.' ?
