garmin etrex legend hcx

Hello everyone. I'm new to gps's. I received a garmin etrex legend hcx for christmas.
I've read the manual for use and i'm still very confused. Is there a tutorial on the web for this unit?  Also, I've read some forums here and most reccomend base camp over map source. Map source came with this unit. Is there a down load for base camp. Thanks for the help, bud

I have an E-trex Vista HCx and use MapSource with it all the time, I've had this for about 3 years and it all works great. If you already have MapSource, give it a try, does a lot and is a stable program. Good luck, you have a nice GPS, in my opinion.
