help me out here pls

I downloaded and installed a topo from here. I can see the map in mapsource but it will not allow me to make a selection so I can transfer to garmin gps. Any ideas?

In the Mapsource "Tools" menu, make sure that "Map" is selected, then hold down the mouse button and drag a rectangle across the part of the map that you want to transfer. If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what might be wrong.
