Uploading maps on Basecamp

 I recently downloaded a topo map file for all of BC Canada. I put this file (gmapsupp.img) in the Garmin folder in my microusb. The map appears to show up on my device, but it doesn't seem to exist in basecamp. How can I make it visible in Basecamp!?

Any help is greatly appreciated.. I've quite new with GPS units and would really like to get this working

The file is an unlocked Garmin Canada Topo v.4 of BC

I tried using mapsettoolkit and cGPS mapper to upload it onto Basecamp.. It seems to successfully convert the file, but then I am unable to open Mapsource or Basecamp afterwards, unless I uninstall the the mapset.

I simply get a message stating that there is a problem with the map installation and I must reinstall and open basemap again..
